A Day By The Lake

Jessa and Summer decided to go spend a day at the lake.

Where are they now?-Dana

Dana, played guitar and did some back up singing. After The Rockers break up, she changed her name to Kira. She remained good friends with Barbie and her crew until the mid 90s. Barbie and her had a huge blow up. It’s not publically know over what, but they haven’t spoken since. Kira decided to focus on her true passion, fashion. She has become a huge success with her Kira Wang label. She has lines in department stores, shows all over the world, and has dressed several celebrities except for Barbie.

Where are they now?-Derek

Derek, played the synthesizer for the group. After the band spilt up it was revealed that he and DeeDee had been romantically involved during there time with the band. Derek had hoped to continue their relationship past the break up as the band, but DeeDee saw their affair as more of a fling. Derek took their break up pretty hard. As the 80s came to a close it was also a hard realization for Derek that the synthesizer was not as popular in this new era. Still seeking the high he had experienced during his time with the band, Derek turned to drugs and alcohol. He became a regular in the tabloids for his bar fights and drunken behaviors. He spent most of the 90s in and out of rehabs, but his brief time in jail finally sobered him up. He turned his experiences into something good by becoming a rehab counselor and has lived a quiet life ever since.

Where are they now?-DeeDee

DeeDee ,the drummer was never very close with the other members of The Rockers or so we were lead to believe. After the band broke up it was revealed that she and band member Derek had been carrying on a secret affair. Derek wanted to remain together, but DeeDee had never thought their relationship was that serious. She was happy to take her earnings from the band and buy a house in Beverly Hills. She still wanted to continue a career with music, but out of the spotlight. She started her own record company Double Dee records. She has been very successful and has discovered and represents several very popular bands.

Where are they now?-Diva

The guitar player of the group Diva, whose real name is Midge has continued her friendship with Barbie. In 1991, she married long time boyfriend Alan. Barbie was the maid of honor and Ken the best man. In 2003 her second pregnancy was highly publicized, which caused much controversy. She and Alan continue to lead a happy somewhat quiet life raising their three children Ryan, Nikki, and Cassandra.

Where are they now?- Ken

Ken was a late addition to Barbie and The Rockers. He was jealous of Barbie and her friend’s success and demanded to be included. He was pretty much just a fill in. He continued to ride on Barbie’s coat tails until 2004 when she broke up with him. Adding again to the rumors and questioning of his sexuality. He was mostly out of the spotlight during their break up. He did change his appearance and made a few grand gestures and was able to win her back on Valentines Day 2011. They have been seemingly happy ever since. Although Barbie has worn several wedding gowns, they are still unmarried.
